David is a knowledgeable and experienced tutor who has guided me through electric guitar from a complete novice to taking examinations. I’m an adult learner and after never having so much as held a guitar, I’m now progressing steadily through the grades and playing all sorts of rock Music. David has patience and understanding and makes a very good tutor. He encourages all students to participate in concerts accompanied by himself on the drums! His teaching style is very thorough so you won’t just learn a few chords you will learn absolutely everything there is to know about the electric guitar, would highly recommend.

I have know David since September 2014 and have attended guitar tuition on a one to one basis and in small groups. During this time David has been professional and engaging with unlimited patience for the beginner, but also encouraging and exploring the development of new techniques and styles on the guitar. David motivates and fosters a true love for music and provides insight into the theory of music to make further sense of styles and composition of songs.

David is so patient and encouraging, and he has a great way of making the lessons enjoyable while still helping him properly improve. You can tell straight away that he’s very experienced and genuinely passionate about teaching guitar.

He’s also really reliable and easy to communicate with, which makes everything so much easier as a parent. Most importantly, my son enjoys his lessons and is becoming more confident with his guitar, which is exactly what we wanted.

We have seen our son develop from a beginner under David's guidance into a musician who now picks up the guitar independently many times throughout the week and is able to play for the pure love of it.

It has helped give him confidence to contribute to school and youth theatre rehearsals and productions and David's teaching has been a big contributor in our sons love of the performing arts. I got in touch with David in November 2023 having never played guitar before, with the perception i had that at the age of 32 it will be too late for me to learn, within less than a year i have been able to understand some of the theory side and have learnt at a good pace. Dave is very patient and gives great feedback.
